Foreign Direct Investment, FDI, driven mainly by private equity, venture capital, and impact investment, is growing in Sub-Saharan Africa but smaller and fragile countries like Sierra Leone are not attracting high quality private investments even though the investment opportunities are plentiful.

EDEN Group seeks to fill this investment gap by mobilizing private investment capital and facilitating investments in existing and new companies that demonstrate high potential for growth and creating jobs, particularly for the burgeoning youthful population.

Eden Group promotes and mobilizes investments from private equity and VC funds, angel investors (high net worth individuals or groups), and impact investors that demonstrate interests in investing in Sierra Leone.

With very strong networks in private investment, the founders utilize their contacts to identify and promote investment opportunities to private investors as well as raise money to invest in existing companies, cooperatives and associations, especially in the value-added space.

In cases, where there is a clear investor interest, Eden Group also provides and/or facilitates, through sub-contracting as needed, business support services for start-ups to bring them up to investment, expansion and export ready statuses.

The founders are indigenous Sierra Leoneans who share a passion to grow businesses that can provide strong returns for investors, generate good quality jobs and provide access to a broader range of goods and services to the citizens of Sierra Leone and other African countries.

Each founder has demonstrated success in processing quality investments, strong track record of business delivery, proven business judgment, and established professional credibility. They have all lived and worked in emerging markets in Africa, Asia, Middle East, and Latin America as well as developed markets in Australia, Europe, and United States. Together they bring exceptional technical expertise and significant sector transaction and technology experience to promote novel investment opportunities in Sierra Leone as well as the Mano River Union and ECOWAS regions.

The founders of Eden Group use their technical expertise and networks to identify companies that could be investment ready, discuss these companies with potential investors for consideration, support business advisory work to prepare companies for investment, mobilize investment resources, and undertake due diligence to enhance rigor in assessment and selection of investments.
